CLIENT OBJECTIVES

To scope and cost the development of a clear clinical case for reversing the Private Healthcare Funding exclusion of a psychotropic in line with the client’s commercial objectives. The feasibility study would include a robust, citation supported review of available epidemiological and clinical data in the area of major depressive disorder (MDD).

The feasibility study must:

  • Confirm the available evidence based upon a review of available epidemiological and clinical data in the area of MDD; and
  • Explore strategic options for the reversal of the Healthcare Funders’ exclusion based on a robust comparative assessment of the available evidence on the SNRIs.
  • Deliver the Body of Evidence (BOE) towards the client’s research and planning.
CORE ACTIVITIES

Searching, identifying, appraising and performing a top level synthesis of the retrieved evidence through good evidential practice (GEvP) and from this context identify the evidential insights and level of support for pivotal market influences of product choice and prescribing behavior.

  • Critical appraisal on identified studies to qualify suitability and to
  • Derive key outcomes for data extraction & analysis
  • Statistical & clinical analysis on data extracted

Deriving new insights from fragmented bodies of evidence in creative yet rigorous ways and addressing strategic, tactical and operational issues equally.

An identification of any important evidence gaps that if filled would address certain marketing issues and lead to significant improvements in efficacious claims, market competitiveness and brand positioning.

Generation of effective strategies and action plans to achieve the clients’ objectives.

Scope and cost top level project plan for the subsequent review and compilation of supporting documentation to the Healthcare Funders.
